NATIONAL POOP SCOOP WEEK 2010
National Poop Scoop Week is almost upon us and the Corporate Enforcement Unit will be carrying out joint patrols of our local towns to enforce the message – dog fouling is a crime, don’t get a fine!
The CEU, with Strathclyde Police and colleagues from throughout the Council, will be patrolling our main towns and will be taking a hard line against those who don’t pick up after their dogs.

COMMUNITY SERVICE PARTNERSHIP WORKING AWARD
East Ayrshire Council’s Community Service Team was highly commended recently at the first ever Scottish Community Service Awards 2010.
The team picked up the award in the partnership category for the work that it carried out in conjunction with East Ayrshire Carers’ Centre to develop Dalmellington House, a respite centre for carers which opened last year.
