A71 ROAD REPAIRS TO COMMENCE

Resurfacing works are due to commence on the section of the A71 between Moorfield Roundabout and Corsehill Roundabout. 

The repairs are required after the section of road suffered badly as a result of the previous severe winter. 

During the spring and early summer the speed on this section of road was reduced to 50 mph for safety reasons until the repairs could be organised and financed.

IMPROVEMENT WORKS ON A76

Transport Scotland and Amey Highways will be delivering a £1.6 million improvement scheme to the A76 at Mauchline.

This significant investment will:

upgrade almost one mile of the A76. renew the road surface. improve drainage. provide landscape renewal.

The work will start on-site on 12th July to coincide with the school summer holidays and, weather permitting, last a total of 10 weeks. A finish date of 27th September is anticipated.
